“Instead of airy light ‘small swans’, we see charming… horses on stage”. Such unflattering jokes are often made about ballet dancers. Indeed, sometimes the noise of ballet shoes is so intrusive over the music, that it becomes very hard to enjoy the ballet.
The specialists at Grishko have solved this problem too. Together with researchers of the Academician N.N. Andreev Acoustic Institute, they have measured the ‘loudness’ of ballet shoes. As tests subjects, they have compared the shoes of the Grishko 2007 model and the new Miracle model. The comparative analysis has shown that the noise level of the shoe body has reduced by 10 dB, while that of bottom parts by 15 dB, or ca. 30 percent lower compared to the standard Grishko 2007 model.

We have succeeded in reducing the shoe noise thanks to using a new generation adhesive and sound-absorbing material. In addition to noise reduction, these materials also serve as shock absorbers, reducing the impact of forces which can amount to 170 kg.
When wearing the Miracle shoe, the movements are noiseless and almost airy, thus allowing one to appreciate a dance without distraction. Only a smile and inspired look of a ballet dancer may divert the attention of spectators from her graceful ballet pas!
